AI image descriptions

Use an OpenAI-compatible vision service to suggest item descriptions.

AI service base URLThe server appends /chat/completions. A local service can use an HTTP URL on your LAN. Vision model Reasoning effortAvailable only for supported OpenAI reasoning models. Higher effort can increase response time and cost and does not guarantee better descriptions. Default monthly AI descriptions0 disables AI descriptions. Usage resets on the first day of each month at 00:00 UTC. Existing plan uses and purchased credits remain separate. Maximum response tokensLimits the generated description. 300 is a practical starting point; the actual maximum also depends on the selected model. AI base promptThis instruction is sent with every image-description request.

Credential: The API key is kept on the app server. Set AI_API_KEY in the app service environment; local AI services that do not require a key may leave it blank.
